General SeriesHell Bent for Victory![]() The Troopers have long been credited as the marching organization that revolutionized the drum corps and marching band activities in the 1960’s and 70’s. In fact, the 1965 Wyoming State Legislature designated them as “Wyoming’s Musical Ambassadors.” Since given that title, the Corps has performed before six United States Presidents and countless dignitaries throughout its long history. In 2006, after several years of financial difficulties and competitive malice, the Corps shut down to re-organize it’s structure. They returned to competition in 2007, made history in 2008, by making it to DCI’s semi finals status for the first time since 1995, and in 2009 they returned to finals for the first time since 1986. The film, produced by corps alumni, Michael D. Gough and Dieter Wiselogel is set for International DVD release on May 15th on the movie’s website, www.hellbentforvictory.com. The story of the film represents the truly remarkable spirit of these American teens as they travel through fifteen states, fighting to scratch a mark in history. Their journey was regarded as the Cinderella story of 2009. MDG Films was there to document this ride in real time!
