Wyoming PBS Emergency Alerts—Mobile & Email Terms of Service

Program Description:
The Wyoming PBS Emergency Alerts program provides subscribers with real-time emergency notifications via SMS and email. Alerts may include severe weather warnings, wildfire updates, Amber Alerts, public safety emergencies, and other urgent statewide notifications relevant to residents of Wyoming. Messages will be sent on an as-needed basis when an emergency alert is issued.
Opt-Out Instructions:
SMS: You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to 1-(857) 367-1595. After you send the SMS message "STOP", we will send you a confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you would like to rejoin, simply opt in again through the sign-up process, and we will resume sending alerts.
Email: You may unsubscribe from email alerts at any time by visiting https://www.wyomingpbs.org/alerts/ and following the instructions provided. If you need additional help unsubscribing, you may also contact us directly.

Carrier Liability:
In accordance with Wyoming law and industry standards, telecommunications carriers and email service providers are not liable for delayed, misdirected, or undelivered messages unless caused by willful misconduct, gross negligence, or bad faith. No liability shall arise from technical failures or outages beyond their control.
Message Frequency and Charges:
Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency will vary based on the number of alerts issued but may occur multiple times per week during active emergency situations. Contact your wireless provider for more information about your text or data plan.
